• Community Gospel Choir

Saturday September 30th 10:30am - 11:15am, Frank & Sue Jones Amphitheater, Newton NC

The Ensemble of Inspiration will feature members of the Catawba County community from all walks of life, ethnicities, and cultures. Directed by Lady L Inc.'s LaKeisha Ross-Johnson, the ensemble will take musical focus from the gospel music genre. Those who experience this unique community gathering will leave inspired and hopeful.


• Tiny Desk Concert Series

Saturday September 30th 11:00am - 1:30pm, Main Catawba County Library, Newton NC

A series of "Tiny Desk" concerts featuring three (3) local arts performing for 30 minutes each with performances beginning at 11:00am, 12:00pm and 1:00pm. Here are the details:

Enjoy the brassy island tones of these incredible steel drums featuring Rick Cline and his students from Hickory Music Factory!

Join Ken and his guitar playing troubadour pals as they play and pick through a repertoire of country, bluegrass and old-time gospel music!

The Cosmic Cowbows return to the stage for the 3rd year in a row of the CVFA with their lineup of fan-favorite legacy rock-a-billy tunes!

Local singer/songwriter Mike Walkup exposes the sound of Catawba County through original lyrics & music, along with his fellow musical friends and guests in an intimate, small-venue setting. This House Concert honors the local musical legacy of Larry Simmons.
